Penny’s Story

“I am a 23-week gestational survivor of a botched abortion. At birth, I weighed 1lb 11oz and was then discarded at the local clinic. However, I miraculously lived to tell my story, and now promote awareness that every life counts. Even though I had many questions concerning how I came into this world, I had great parents who ended up loving and caring for me. Before my father passed away in 2011, he told me, “Honey, I do not know what I would have done without you.” Despite doctors insisting that I would have no quality of life, I have had an amazing one. I have a brother who has always been my best friend. We remain close and very much a part of each other’s lives. I married my high school sweetheart, and have two children, and seven grandchildren. Life is beautiful.”
